Eligibility
An International Applicant includes citizens of countries other than Canada who, at the time of application to Westcan Bulk Transport Ltd., do not possess Permanent Residency to Canada.
To be eligible for a position with our company you are legally working in your home country or on a valid work permit in another country as either a Professional Long Haul Truck Driver or Heavy Equipment Technician. For our hiring purposes, if you are currently living in Canada on a valid work, study or visitor permit you are considered an International Applicant.
Employment Requirements
Professional Long Haul Truck Drivers- Minimum 3 years Class 1 or equivalent license experience in most recent 5 years.
- Minimum 3 years accident-free driving record operating articulated tractor and trailer units.
- Minimum 6 years experience working on diesel engines, ABS brakes, electronics and drive trains.
- Eligible for recognition under the Provincial Apprenticeship and Industry Training Board

- Police Information check
- Employer reference letters

- Trade certification (H.E.T only)
